Air Filter

Most dirt in your engine enters through your air filter. That’s why our experts at FRAM® engineering laboratories recommend changing your engine air filter every 20,000 kilometers.1 After all, a new air filter can increase airflow and horsepower and improve overall engine performance.2

  • A clean air filter helps keep damaging particles from entering your engine and causing increased engine wear.
  • Dirty air filters restrict airflow, which can contribute to decreased acceleration and horsepower and reduced overall performance.

Installation Instructions

  1. Use proper protective gear.
  2. Loosen wing nut or other fasteners to remove filter cover.
  3. Remove old air filter.
  4. Clean filter cover and housing using a shop vacuum.
  5. Install new air filter. Be sure it is sealed around the perimeter.
  6. Replace cover and fasten.
